About Carly

In the mid-nineties, Carly was either putting on a magic show with her brothers in her family’s basement, studying Molly Shannon on SNL, or blasting Shania Twain’s Come On Over album. If it was from 1995-1997 she most likely had a mullet, and it was very cute.

From Indiana where she grew up to New York City and now most recently, Nashville, Carly is no stranger to the entertainment industry. After living in NYC for 10 years, she’s performed at various NYC music & theatre venues such as Rockwood Music Hall, 54 Below, Classic Stage Company, Ensemble Studio Theater. She has also acted in and produced films that have appeared at festivals globally like Lovers Film Festival (Turin, Italy), OutFest (LA), HollyShorts (LA), Westfield International Film Festival (NJ), and NewFest (NYC).

Currently, Carly is a singer and musician for Carnival Cruise Line with her band Brighthold, an Americana duo made up of herself and Ryan Citrino featuring guitar and mandolin. They met while performing PigPen Theatre Co.’s PHANTOM FOLKTALES created for Virgin Voyages. The show consisted of folk song-driven vignettes that appeared and disappeared throughout the different parts of the ship.

Carly resides in East Nashville where she’s focusing on her band Brighthold, checking out new indie films, and streaming your latest TV obsession.
